ambient..

This is ambient advertising for Feed SA in South Africa and for Pantene's campaign 'really strong hair' advertising an anti-breakage shampoo. I think these are both very effective; who wouldn't feel guilty piling up their groceries on a picture of the hungry child asking for food! Notice there's a man (a doll obviously, but what a great idea!) climbing up the huge braid!

huge, enormous Decathlon

This is a print ad campaign for sports store Decathlon by Young & Rubicam advertising it as 'The biggest sports store ever.' It's a simple idea and I think they've come up with quite a clever way of saying it's a huge store where you can find any sport equipment you need. I especially like the ones with just the big letters, simple and effective.

WWF Eco Ad Campaign

This brilliant idea for a World Wildlife Fund ad campaign came from Saatchi&Saatchi Copenhagen, Denmark. A simple paper towel dispenser with a cut out the shape of South America through which you can see the stack of green paper towels. The towels illustrate the rainforests of the continent and every piece of paper you take is slowly draining out the greenness of South America! It's a very strong image and a great way to symbolise the environmental impact of disposable paper towels. Genius!

UNICEF well

I came across this brilliant campaign by UNICEF! In order to raise money for the kids in Vietnam who don't have access to clean water UNICEF placed these containers around shops, restaurants and clubs in the wealthier parts of Vietnam. When you drop coins into the container the water level rises closer to the boy trying to get water from the well! The container is visually connected to the cause of the campaign. I think it's a very clever and creative idea!

the girl effect

This animation is for a campaign to help girls in developing countries to get education.
I really like it how they've only used typography to get their point across and they've done it in a very affective way.. for example the flies and the words husband, baby, hunger in a pile. The animation is quite fast paced which I think is good, makes it more interesting to watch when you have to read pretty quick. They've also managed to put some humour in and not make it too serious. The website for the campaign is really nicely designed too: www.girleffect.org
